Approach
The assignment is always
precluded by an intake meeting with the potential client. The meeting provides
me with information regarding the issue(s), the organization and the results,
desired by the potential client. I use this information while preparing the
project plan. The project plan should be as pragmatic and transparant as
possible so that it is clear what the project variables are. These variables
include the chosen approach to achieve the desired results, the duration of the
assignment, the fee, the deliverables and the expected quality of the results.
The plan will also include variables that the potential client should manage,
such as the provision of required information and cooperation from the decision
makers within the organization.
The assignment will commence as
soon as the client agrees to the project plan. The cosen approach depends on the
issue(s), the type of assignment (interim management, project management or
consultancy), the organizational culture and the demands of the client. During
the assignment I will inform the client through progress reports and project
evaluation meetings, so that the client can track progress regarding the
realization of the desired goals and objectives.
After delivering the desired
results, the assignment is formally terminated by conducting an assignment
evaluation.
Added value
Conducting an assignment should
always result in the realization of one or more goals of the client. That is my
added value to my clients. My professional work attitude and my customer- and
result-focused approach are important personal characteristics that enable me to
succesfully complete the assignment.
